For the love of birds

metal birds nest

Not simply for having a bird name, but bird watching has brought joy and insights for many years, as they build their intricate nests, patiently gathering twig after twig, feeding their young, males and females tending carefully to each other, we add metal birds to most every piece we've made.  My first crafting business was in 1980, Robins Nest, making dried flower ornaments and wreaths, then wedding flowers.  Since fresh and dried flowers don't have great longevity, the birds and flowers are now plasma cut from sheet metal.  Years ago, my husband began taking ends of rod from the scrap pile, welding them together to make 6" nests, that can be used inside or out all year, to hold trinkets, easter eggs, keys, or small plants.   A good way to be reminded of the patient, trusting nature of birds, to live more in the moment, grounded by beauty. https://robinsgardenart.org/products/metal-birds-nest-decorative-twig-nest-with-bird?utm_source=copyToPasteBoard&utm_medium=product-links&utm_content=web
